Hotel Arctic has six Umiaq DeLuxe rooms, all with views of the sea with the icebergs. These are the hotel’s newest, most beautiful rooms and they are of high international standard. The rooms are more spacious than the other Umiaq rooms and details include B&O TV, mini bar, café set with coffee and tea, and bathrobe. The rooms are furnished with a two-person sofa and an armchair.
Umiaq DeLuxe rooms may be booked as either single or double rooms. Double rooms are fitted either with a king size double bed or two single beds. A child’s bed is available free of charge. Umiaq DeLuxe rooms may be booked as family rooms for three or four people.
The elegant bathrooms have glass shower stalls and bidets.
Umiaq DeLuxe rooms are located in the Umiaq wing, which is named after the Greenlandic word for the traditional women’s boat.
The Greenlandic artist Miki Jakobsen has decorated the rooms with original photo art – all with the women’s boat as a theme. In addition, the rooms have paintings by the local artist Arne Reimer.
