Hotel Arctic’s five Outdoor Rooms each have a private terrace and direct access to the fells outside.
These rooms are the most recent addition to the hotel and they more than live up to their four-star classification. There is an unrestricted view of Disko Bay from the panorama windows.
The two sides of the adjustable bed can be regulated individually, so you also have a view of the fells, the ocean and the icebergs from there. Or you can enjoy the view from the two armchairs. Should the sun be too bright, simply activate the awning.
The rooms are furnished with wardrobe, writing desk, two armchairs, coffee table and a bench in front the window. There are two chairs and a table on the terrace outside.
From the exclusive bathroom you can choose to have a view of the fells and Disko Bay – or you can blind the large window and screen off the bathroom. Facilities in the bathroom include a remote-controlled bidet-function built into the toilet and the mirror has Bluetooth speakers that can play music from your iPhone and Android.
The Outdoor Rooms are located in the Umiaq Wing, which is named after the Greenlandic word for the traditional women’s boat.
The rooms are decorated with the Greenlandic guillemot as the theme.
The five outdoor rooms are available from May 1st until October 31st.
Note: All rooms at Hotel Arctic offer these facilities and services: Free wireless internet, cable TV, telephone, radio with alarm function, extra pillow, hairdryer, heated bathroom floor, toiletries, mosquito net, writing desk, child’s bed (book this when you book your room, children under two years of age are free), all dimmable lighting, iron and ironing-board, room service (excl. outdoor rooms and igloos) and laundry seven days of the week.
